I’m headed off this morning to explore a part of Mexico few people even know much less know how to pronounce and it’s a place I’ve also never been so I’m always excited to explore something new! A new resort there is already creating quite a buzz and is getting top marks as a luxury escape, honeymoon haven and secluded hideaway, the true triple threat!!! Some of the best snorkeling I’ve ever found is in the British Virgin Islands! The water is so incredibly clear you barely even need to get off the boat to see dozens of varieties of tropical fish and coral covering every color of the rainbow. In my journey to sail seven islands in seven days ( see last seven posts) I discovered some of the best snorkeling spots in this part of the Caribbean. Here’s the list. Enjoy!

Heading back to Tortola on our final day of sailing this would be our seventh island in seven days. We did it! On our way back to the marina we caught up with several dozen sailboats racing in a regatta. When we fell in behind the leader I moved to the front of the catamaran and held on tight. It was exhilarating being soaked by the spray from the waves and my laughter was mixed with tears because I knew my trip was almost over.
