A fantastic TRAVEL THERAPY can involve a special restaurant and a delicious meal and you won’t believe the amazing steak you can get at one of the most impressive resort restaurants in the country but it will cost you….try $70 for one steak! Here’s why…
You know what they say you pay for what you get SO…If you’re having a rough day on the golf course scoring more bogeys than birdies just try sinking your teeth into one of Greg Norman’s signature Wagyu steaks and you’ll feel like a winner again! You’ll find this exclusive cut of beef at the Meritage Steakhouse, right on the championship 27-hole Wildfire Golf Course, at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix. The funky restaurant even has seats covered with animal hide to help get you in the mood ( see photo). One of these steaks will set you back about $70 bucks, but trust me it’s worth every bite ( and even more impressive if you can eat every bite!).
Pronounced “WAG-oo” (meaning Japanese Cow) this $70 dollar, 14oz steak is flown into Arizona once a week from Australia where Norman is involved with developing this luxury brand of beef. Norman’s Wagyu is a 350-day, grain fed, super premium line of imported Australian Wagyu. This beef boasts generous marbling and flavor with a substantially lower fat content than other beef. If you’re in Arizona don’t miss sinking your teeth into this amazing steak!
Plus the wine list is impressive! The restaurant was just rated in 2007 as a top spot by Wine Spectator!
