I’ve seen dozens of shows in Las Vegas but when this show opened a few years ago I got to actually go behind the scenes and see how all magic works. Amazing!!!KA is a Cirque du Soleil performances but instead of just watching people turn themselves into pretzels, KA combines martial arts, acrobatics, puppetry, interactive video projections and pyrotechnics to tell the epic saga of separated Imperial Twins—a boy and a girl—who embark on an adventurous journey to fulfill their linked destinies. Getting to see how the set was built and how the millions were spent was a rare treat, but I probably enjoyed the most watching the performers practice. It’s amazing how hard they work and all that they can get their bodies to do! I asked about the name KA, what it means, and found out KA was used as the show’s title because it’s believed by ancient Egyptians that the “KA” is an invisible spiritual duplicate of the body that is with every human being throughout their life and into he next.
If that’s the case then I can say my Ka and I loved the show! For more TRAVEL THERAPY entertainment ideas check out the entertainment category on this blog and go to the TRAVEL THERAPY website at www.mytraveltherapy.com.
