TRAVEL THERAPY MOVES!

 Sometimes the best TRAVEL THERAPY involves shaking things up a bit, even better if you can shake things up A LOT.  The “key” is going outside your comfort level and experiencing something exciting and exotic that challenges your senses and impassions your soul.   Lounging at this gorgeous infinity edge pool at the Fairmont Mayakoba, in the Rivera Maya outside of Cancun, I wiggled my toes, admiring my last pedicure while I plotted my next move. I wasn’t sure exactly where I would go I just knew it needed to be something amazing, inspiring, something I had never done before. 

A few weeks later I was in Afghanistan as the first reporter ever embedded with an Apache Helicopter Unit along the Afghanistan/Pakistan border. Yup, that’s different!!!

The experience was everything I hoped it would be and more and now almost exactly a year later, as the soldiers with the Arizona National Guard unit that I was embedded with get ready to finally come home, I’m bound for another journey. Not a war zone this time, although some people call New York City a “battle” but this journey will be a different kind of challenge.

I’m moving my home base to NYC because it’s where I need to be for my current projects ( TRAVEL THERAPY book, TV Series, etc). Of course I’m still keeping my home in the “Valley of the Sun” because the only way to truly live in NYC is to have a warm place to escape to when the winter’s get too brutal.  As amazing friends came by to wish me luck and toast my newest TRAVEL THERAPY venture with champagne I knew they understood my move and that as much as I love it out West, NYC has always had a piece of my heart and it’s just the right time to finally make the move.

The upcoming TRAVEL THERAPY trips are already piling up. I’m so excited because it will be so much easier now to travel to the Caribbean, Europe, etc. So stay tuned, bags are packed and there’s a one-way flight to NYC with my name on it! More to come!
