Super Bowl 2008 may be over but plans are already going full speed ahead for Super Bowl 2009 and it was just announced today the new InterContinental hotel in Tampa is getting the winning nod to host one of the teams.Those in the know say the InterContinental was picked because of its location in the heart of Tampa’s Westshore business and shopping district and because of how close it is to Raymond James Stadium. The team staying in the InterContinental can look forward to lounging on the hotel’s comfy pillow top king-sized beds and kicking back and watching flat-screen plasma TV’s after dining at the legendary Shula’s Steak House. 

Opening in August of 2007, with 323 rooms, this is the newest luxury hotel in Tampa. If you’re even thinking about staying here during Super Bowl make your reservations early, like right now, to guarantee a room!
