Award-Winning Margarita Recipe

During my ongoing TRAVEL THERAPY quest to find the “perfect margarita” I discovered a top contender in the middle of the Florida Keys at Hawks Cay Resort. After spending millions to update the property there’s now a new hip bar called “The Rum Bar” and while the mojitos here were fantastic, the bar manager, Scott Benton, promised me his signature margarita was even better.

He wasn’t kidding! Plus this is so simple to make its silly! He was kind enough to share his recipe, featuring tequila aged in burgundy barrels, so if you can’t slip away to Duck Key at the moment you can still enjoy one of these little beauties at home. Cheers!

 50/50 MARGARITA

Scott Benton-Manager Rum Bar

Ingredients:

Asombroso Rose Tequila

St.Germain Liquor

Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice.

Instructions:

After putting a couple shots of lime juice into shaker add in equal parts of Asombroso Rose Tequila and St.Germain Liquor ( hence the 50/50 name), shake and pour into a margarita glass rimmed with sugar and top with a floating lime.

Enjoy! You’re going to love it!
