Ah…now I see why Grace Bay Beach in Turks and Caicos is called one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! This TRAVEL THERAPY destination really is something you have to see and “feel” to appreciate and you won’t really understand how fabulous it is until you’ve wiggled your toes in the talcum powder soft sand.  In the early 90’s there were only a few hotels along this stunning stretch of beach but in the last few years Turks and Caicos has experienced a huge surge in construction of luxury resorts and condos so now when you walk the beach you’ll find several dozen properties although it still doesn’t feel crowded, yet. 

I took this picture from where I was staying at The Regent Palms, the top rated resort on the strip and a resort that absolutely has the best beach in the area. I took a walk down to the Grace Bay Club, one of the first hotels on the beach and found that the beach narrows out quite a bit and while still lovely you don’t feel the sweeping space that you do at the end of the beach where you have the Regent.  

Besides your typical beach chairs the Regent Palms has also added these cozy beach cabanas right on the sand and then a few feet up on a boardwalk more chairs where you can relax and sip on the complimentary cool water and nibble on the frozen fruit that is brought by to spoil you. Too hot? Say yes, to a spritz down when one of the beach attendants comes by!  

At the Regent Palms there are no motorized sports allowed in the water in front of the resort to keep things peaceful and all other water fun is complimentary so you can try your luck at windsurfing or sailing.  

The turquoise water itself it so blue it almost looks unreal and it’s so clear you can wade up to your waist and still see the bottom! Grace Bay Beach is the perfect TRAVEL THERAPY if you’re looking to get away and relax and just exhale from your hectic life. It’s also a fantastic romantic getaway or destination to honeymoon haven because it’s only 3 hours from NYC and an even quicker flight from Miami, so in a quick hop skip and jump you can find yourself transported into a fantasty island retreat.
