With the economy wreaking havoc on our travel plans we need to arm ourselves with the best information on how to find the top travel deals and discounts. Also be sure to check the airlines you’re flying to see if they offer any package deals. I’ve saved a lot of money going this route because often times major airlines will package airfare and to hotels together so you just pay one price for everything and it ends up being much cheaper, plus you avoid paying all the extra taxes, etc.  

If you have frequent flyer miles don’t forget to see if there are any special bonuses or incentives for cashing in those miles.
