It’s unbelievable the vacation home deals you can find! Renting a home or condo for a vacation is an especially smart choice if you have another couple you want to travel with or if you’re traveling with your kids.
Most hotel rooms are going to cost you at least several hundred dollars a night but if you find a great deal on a vacation home rental you can save more than 50%!
For example, one of the hot vacation rental destinations is Arizona where you can soak up the sun during the winter months. Here’s one example of a great Scottsdale rental property that’s in a full gated, exclusive North Scottsdale Community where you have two bedrooms and two bathroom just steps from one of the THREE pools on the property. I really liked your post. Since I am the seasonal vacation rental owner, you pretty much covered it all. I would add that never ever send any money via Western Union or Money Gram. Also – make sure you talk to the vacation rental owner on the phone. Ask as many questions as possible – sometimes you can see in descriptions “waterfront condo” – make sure you ask it is (if you need indeed a waterfront condo).
I also want to tell you about scam in vacation rental industry. Especially if you are renting something out of state or country. It is so simple to make a listing on the portal. It is simple to create a small website to advertise your vacation rental. Make sure you are renting from the owner who exists to protect yourself from the fraud.
Thank you for the additional great tips! You can’t be too careful when you are renting a home.
