The famed New York Palace Hotel is now a member of the ultra luxurious Dorchester Collection. This means expect to see some fabulous changes at this iconic hotel in the near future. Here’s what’s happening.

The Dorchester Collection, the London based luxury hotel group which also owns The Dorchester in London, The Beverly Hills Hotel in L.A., Le Meurice and Hotel Plaza Athenee in Paris and Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan, plans to transform the New York Palace into one of New York’s most luxurious hotels. Not easy to do in a city with some of the top rated hotels in the world! 

So what’s in store for this iconic 899 room property? I had a chance to talk with the charming managing director, Niklaus Leuenberger, at a celebration party last week. Without giving too much away it sounds like some amazing upgrades and renovations will be taking place over the next three years! 

Already world-class and top rated the New York Palace is the place you want to stay if you’re looking for superior service and a convenient midtown location on Madison Avenue.  

We’ll keep an eye on this TRAVEL THERAPY destination and will have more information once I’ve had a chance to spend more time at the property.
