TRAVEL THERAPY ™

When you think of luxury hotels in Switzerland you usually think right away of the large and luxe properties like the Beau-Rivage, Victoria-Jungfrau and the Lausanne Palace and Spa, but there are some new first-class boutique hotels hitting the scene in Switzerland that are now offering the perfect TRAVEL THERAPY.

Two TRAVEL THERAPY favorites are both in the tiny village of Weggis just outside of Lucerne. Sitting up on the hill the five-star Park Hotel Weggis actually has a history dating all the way back to the late 1800’s but the hotel is constantly re-inventing itself with innovate re-designs and additions.

The 10 new Adara suites are modern and gorgeous with spectacular views of the lake and they’re conveniently right next to a new spa. The restaurant Annex is top rated for central Switzerland and the Sunset Caviar Bar has a long list of delicious drinks including signature Swiss wine. About five minutes down the road, right across from the lake, is the Park Hotel’s new ultra hip sister property the Post Hotel Weggis, nicknamed POHO. This four-star property just opened in the summer and is packed with pizzazz. The vibe here is young and energetic with class, the perfect combination!  

Talented Chef Markus Milz can whip you up anything you desire, even the famed fondue that tourist love so much. When I was there he severed up a phenomenal meat fondue that was out of this world! Even though it turns out most Swiss people only have cheese fondue and save the meat fondue for holidays or special occasions. 

No matter which property you choose you can’t go wrong with a stay in Weggis. This quintessential Swiss town will charm you from the moment you arrive.

The hardest part will be leaving.
