When it comes to the top hotels in New York City it’s so nice to see a TRAVEL THERAPY favorite reopen after a 400 million dollar renovation.  

It took three years and 400 million dollars to renovate the famed Plaza  Hotel, from top to bottom, but it looks like it was worth every penny. With the renovation The Plaza now has 282 guestrooms and 102 special suites in seven different designs and layout.

The goal of the renovation was to keep the history and elegance of The Plaza while still upgrading the property to make sure it continued to offer cutting edge amenities and services.   

One example, The Plaza is now the only hotel in the world where you’ll find 24 karat gold plated sinks and fixtures in each bathroom. Matched up against the white marble it’s stunning! 

Each room in The Plaza also has this cool gadget called an AMX panel that’s portable so everything you need to control is at your fingertips from the temperature in different rooms to your stereo system. 

A favorite TRAVEL THERAPY addition to the property is The Plaza’s new Champagne Bar and Rose Club.
