If you’re going to be in New York City over the holidays one show you don’t want to miss is the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. Here’s why!

First of all when you consider the Rockettes have been around for more than 75 years you just know they have to be doing something right! The Christmas Rockettes show at Radio City Music Hall is one of those iconic events that can help catapult you into the holiday spirit!

 For this TRAVEL THERAPY favorite you can even score some great discount tickets if you buy early on sites like broadwaybox.com. I admit I was worried this would just be a tourist trap kind of show but I was completely surprised at how fantastic this production is and how much fun everyone had! If you love the holidays this is really one show in NYC you shouldn’t miss.

If you can’t get tickets to one of the evening shows, they sell out fast, go ahead and go to an early matinee. Sure, there will be more kids in the audience but after you’re done you can do some holiday shopping and check out all the Christmas decorations at Rockefeller Center, including the incredible store windows that are decked out to dazzle!

If you’re hungry Morrell’s is a great place close by to grab a bite to eat and have a glass of wine ( more than 2,000 different bottles on the wine list) and it’s just right across from the ice rink.
