I'm headed to New York in a few weeks. I always find that travel pushes me out of my comfort zone and shows me that I can do things I don't think I can do. Already getting butterflys - can hardly wait.

As a frequent visitor to your site I have to say you keep bringing more and more ideas and fun to this otherwise drab existence of mine. I have read your book, more than once because I keep finding things I missed the first time through. What a fun change from the 'Norm'.

One of my great adventures was a trip with my girlfriend to France and Italy. To get oriented to the different areas we traveled, we took a half day city tour and were able to see and find more fun things to do. The cost was minimal and we saw things that we would not have seen otherwise. Every time I travel I do once of these half day tours and it has enhanced the journey. I think most cities here and around the world do something similar.

Looking forward to more on your travels to Australia and New Zealand that I read about in your book! Keep up the great work!

I might go to Triple Creek Ranch then...hahaha.
Re-inventing yourself on a trip is definitely a good idea...and worth the trip!

There really is something for everyone here! I'm glad that more of the world will be exposed to the Travel Therapy idea in this top magazine!

Like Jerry, I have a transforming trip story. A girlfriend and I headed to Puget Sound in Washington and spent a long weekend sea kayaking with the orca. We went with a tour guide who was knowledgeable, calm and competent. He even cooked us gourmet meals! Gliding through the dark quiet water in the warm sun was rejuvenating and grounding - it was much needed therapy at the end of a hectic school year!

WOW! What a great article. You truly cover all the emotional bases. And you present the information in such a fun and informative way.

One trip that transformed me was a visit to Tasmania, Australia in 2004. I climbed up a steep, steep mountain with the most wonderful and encouraging guide who truly believed in me and gave me such confidence in myself. Not only was I rewarded with the most breathtaking view when I made it to the top (the view of the Wineglass Bay with it’s milky white sand beach that goes on forever is one of the most iconic images of Tasmania) – my belief in abilities and myself was completely transformed. And my strength and endurance was completely challenged. What a feeling!

Thank you for sharing such wonderful information. I cannot wait for the book signing!
