No matter what time of year you visit Switzerland for the ultimate TRAVEL THERAPY you need to head up into the Swiss Alps to truly appreciate all that this tiny country has to offer.

A trip to Schilthorn is a great choice especially when you consider this is mountain peak where they filmed the James Bond move Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Very cool!

You get to the top of this impressive summit by starting at Interlaken and taking a train and then changing cable cars three different times as you climb almost 10,000 feet into the sky.

One of the stops along the way is the quaint village of Murren that you’ll want to spend some time in taking in the sights and the local flavor.

Once you get to the top of Schilthorn if you have the right gear you can actually follow some hiking trails around the area or back down to Murren if you’re feeling really ambitious.

From the top of Schilthorn you have a 360 panoramic view of more than 200 different mountain peaks where you on a clear day you’ll see Eiger, Monach and Jungfrau ( UNESCO World Heritage Site).

If you’d rather  just relax and chill out you can have a bite to eat or toast the stunning scenery with a Bond Girl Drink in the revolving restaurant ( think Seattle’s Space Needle). Before you go back down the mountain be sure to check out the movie that was made about Schilthorn that include some clips from the James Bond movie.

The view from Schilthorn is legendary and it’s one TRAVEL THERAPY experience you don’t want to miss!
