We all have that friend that’s impossible to buy a gift for because they have EVERYTHING so for one of my BFF’s birthdays I decided to give her some of my favorite Travel Therapy. A trip to the luxurious five-star Hollywood celebrity favorite Beverly Hills Hotel & Bungalows part of the prestigious Dorchester Collection.
I so much appreciate how this iconic hotel, that opened back in 1912, continues to upgrade and impress while still keeping it’s original charm and history. There’s a reason this Hollywood darling, where it’s easier to name the celebrities who haven’t visited than the ones who have, has stayed a favorite with so many people for so many decades. At the Beverly Hills Hotel & Bungalows it’s all about memories, honoring the old one while making new ones that will last a lifetime.
To help make my friend’s birthday memorable we started out at the Beverly Hills Hotel Spa by La Prairie, a boutique spa with six room and a long list of blissful treatments.
My friend picked the ultra luxurious La Prairie Anti-Aging Facial. How perfect for a birthday, right?! This special La Prairie facial helps repair and rejuvenate the skin while fighting off various forms of aging. When my friend walked out of the spa I can honestly say she was GLOWING and looked more relaxed than I’ve seen her look in a long time. So of course our next stop was the Polo Lounge to celebrate.
I’d been hearing about this AMAZING salad at the Polo Lounge, my friend’s favorite, so I knew it was time to check it out. Honestly, I always call salads “rabbit food”, so not a huge fan usually, but after trying the Polo Lounge’s McCarthy Salad, a really cool version of a Cobb, I too, am now hooked. The folks at the hotel tell me around 40% of their orders at the Polo Lounge are the McCarthy Salad alone! I’m also hearing some great things about the Sunday Brunch with live Jazz music at the Polo Lounge so I’m adding that to the “try next” Travel Therapy list.
Another great way to relax and rejuvenate at the Beverly Hills Hotel is to head to the pool and the Cabana Cafe that serves up some of the best blueberry pancakes I’ve ever had and for lunch some fantastic tortilla soup. You also have to check out the newly renovated pool cabanas, so cute and cozy!
For top places to stay…during my visit I also found a new favorite Travel Therapy suite the newly decorated Premier Suite #121. I loved this outdoor patio space …
…and this spa like bathroom with this dreamy soaking tub.
For a splurge you must check out the two new three-bedroom Presidential Bungalows that are so beautifully and thoughtfully decorated you feel like you’re staying in a luxury home instead of a hotel.
An added bonus, with the Presidential Bungalows…you get your own private pool. WOW!
So if you’re looking for the ultimate birthday gift for the person who has everything or just a great girls getaway experience or your own Travel Therapy escape don’t miss checking out all the new luxurious upgrades at The Beverly Hills Hotel & Bungalows so you can start making your own special memories and new Travel Therapy traditions.
