When I first moved to New York City the Mandarin Oriental Hotel quickly became a favorite Travel Therapy escape. I fell in love with the spa, one of the highest rated spas in Manhattan, with its breathtaking Central Park views from the 35th floor and authentic treatments and therapists who truly seem to care about helping you feel relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated.

After a meal at the Mandarin’s sublime award-winning Asiate restaurant and drinks at the hip and always happening MObar and Lobby Lounge, that all overlook the city and Central Park,  I’ve been a fan—pun intended (the Mandarin’s logo is a fan).

One thing I’ve always appreciated about the Mandarin is the brands ongoing commitment to supporting the arts so when I heard about the Mandarin Oriental in New York introducing ‘Evening Sessions’ on Thursday nights in the Lobby Lounge I knew I had to check it out.

Just down the street from the Mandarin Oriental in New York is the renowned Julliard School filled with some of the most talented students in the world and now some of those students, emerging jazz artists, are playing at the Mandarin’s Lobby Lounge every Thursday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm as part of the Mandarin’s new ‘Evening Sessions” program.

Love it!

Now not only can you take in the incredible views of Central Park while sipping creative cocktails but you can also listen to some of the most talented up-and-coming musicians from Julliard School.

Trust me, you’ll definitely want to add this to your list of things to do on a Thursday night in New York City.

The cocktails in the lobby lounge are always unique and special matching the mood here perfectly. Some of my favorites include the refreshing Baby Buddha with Hendrick’s Gin, Cucumber, Cilandro, Lime Juice and Sparkling Sake. For lite bites to eat another favorite is the Mandarin’s Dim Sum Bento with assorted Shrimp, Chicken and Vegetable Dumplings.

Cheers to another Mandarin Oriental experience you don’t want to miss!
