It’s that time of year again!

It’s summer in the city and when things start heating up that means it’s time to start scouting out the best rooftop bars in New York City that are serving up sensation new summer cocktails.

I started my Travel Therapy research, for the best summer cocktails in New York City, at the Conrad New York because this new all-suite luxury hotel in Lower Manhattan’s Battery City Park has one of the coolest places to catch a Manhattan sunset, while sipping on a truly unique cocktail at the Loopy Doopy Bar.

Even the name’s cool!

And when it comes to the best summer cocktails in New York City the Conrad New York gets really creative.

Think boozy popsicles in a fishbowl sized glass, floating in a sea of Prosecco or Rosecoo, and you get to be your own mixologist!

Here’s how it work! You choose your base, the Prosecco or Rosecco, and then pick your pop, with flavors that include everything from blueberries and Coriander, to roasted strawberries, peaches, watermelon and cantaloupe and spirits like rum, green absinthe and bourbon.

After you’ve gotten a little Loopy Doopy with your popsicle fix you can also try some other great signature summer cocktails up on the rooftop. One of my favorites to toast the sunset is the Cool Story, with Hendricks Gin, cucumber and Angostura Bitters.

Besides the inspired cocktails the view from Conrad New York’s Loopy Loopy Bar is one of the best in Manhattan!

After sunset if you want to try some more new summer cocktails you can head down to Conrad New York’s Atrio Wine Bar. The wine list here is fantastic, but staying with the cocktail theme, I found three new summer cocktails not miss. First up, the Mount Rushmore with Black barrel rum, lemon and Ameretto, that packs a punch while still being refreshing.

Next, one of my favorites, is the El Diablo with 1800 Reposado tequila, blueberry, jalapeño and ginger ale. I love how this has a kick to it, but is still light and full of flavor.

And if you’re looking for a spa treatment in a glass try the Cucumber Basil Gimlet with Hendrick’s gin, basil and cucumber…true bliss.

My Travel Therapy insider tip, when you’re trying these top new summer cocktails order the Tuna Tartare, it’s phenomenal!
