Sometimes the best TRAVEL THERAPY escape is in your own backyard, especially when you live in New York City and you have the fabulous Four Seasons Hotel just across town from you!
The temperatures here in New York City have been bone chilling lately so for me to venture across town it’s going to take something pretty special and that’s exactly what I found when I had lunch yesterday at the beautiful Four Seasons Garden Restaurant.
I’ve always loved how The Garden Restaurant is this unique forest like setting with African Acacia trees that’s so whimsical and charming and when you add in Executive Chef John Johnson’s incredible cuisine you’re in for a real treat that was totally worth braving the sub-zero temperatures for!
For this lunch I completely put myself in the hands of our server, Milton, because his passion for some of the special items on the menu was so authentic anything he recommended I couldn’t resist trying. So I blame him for the TWO desserts he spoiled me with, created by talented pastry chef Jasmina Bojic.
When it comes to this scrumptious lunch at the Four Seasons a picture really is worth a thousand words so I’m sharing the ones I took with you here but trust me there are so many great choices on the menu, come hungry and be ready to enjoy a true TRAVEL THERAPY Foodie Escape!
Stay tuned…I just heard the Four Seasons has just started a new “comfort food” brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. You KNOW I’ll be trying that out soon!
My First Course: Tartare of Yellowfin Tuna
Main Course: Special of the Day: Cape May Scallops with Fresh Black Truffles
Side Dish: Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese
Dessert #1: Cheesecake with Gold Flakes
Dessert 2: Sticky Date Pudding with Toffee Sauce
And for those looking for a cozy delicious way to thaw out from New York’s City’s brutal temps don’t miss The Garden’s hot chocolate with all the extras!
