Ever since getting home from Arizona a few weeks ago I’ve been having serious golf withdrawals!

I left both sets of my clubs at my condo in Scottsdale because it just didn’t make sense to bring them back to Manhattan. What was I going to do, use my pitching wedge to smack a ball down Broadway?

But now I’m having second thoughts after learning about a new very cool place to play golf right in the heart of New York City called Golf Manhattan.

Okay, true, you’re going to have to use a bit of your imagination here because this is “virtual” golf,  using PGA tour simulators, but I’m telling you it’s so realistic it’s scary… so much so that when I borrowed pitching wedge to hit a shot 90 yards to the pin it went about 10 feet right of the green, just like my shots were doing a few weeks ago when I played the fabled Monument Course at Troon North in Scottsdale.

I mean you figure this is what PGA players practice with so it just makes sense when you’re living in a concrete jungle like NYC to give it a whirl.

And here’s where it gets even cooler. At  Golf Manhattan when you play a round of virtual golf they even have Troon’s Monument course as one of the  world-class courses to choose from.

Love it!

The cost is $60 for an hour and you can have up to four people playing and you use real clubs and balls. Don’t want to schlep your clubs back and forth, Golf Manhattan will even store them for you.

I can see I’ve found a new home away from home! Stay tuned, we’ll be playing a few rounds and let you know how it goes.
