I’m always on the lookout for a unique TRAVEL THERAPY adventure and boy did I find a great one in New Brunswick, Canada, when I was visiting St. Andrews by-the-Sea shooting my latest TRAVEL THERAPY TV segment.
I was in town to check out the progress of the major renovation of the historic Algonquin Resort that’s set to open later this summer. I can’t wait because this property looks like an ideal TRAVEL THERAPY escape and while I was in town I heard about Kurt and his kilted mountain bike rides called Off-Kilter. Love the name, love the idea.
Check out the picture above.
That’s right we’re both wearing kilts while mountain biking! Don’t worry Kurt provides the bikes, the kilts and some great local history and customize mountain biking trips to fit your skill level and what you’re looking to do. For my trip we cruised along the Ocean floor and the scenery was spectacular!
So why the kilts?
Probably because Off-Kilter is based in St. Andrews by-the-Sea that many say is inspired by the famous Scottish St. Andrews and heritage… and even the staff at the nearby Angonquin Resort is apparently going to be wearing kilts when the property reopens.
Regardless of the why this is one adventure you don’t want to miss and be sure to bring your camera. This area of New Brunswick is breathtaking!
