For this week’s “Photo of the Week” I picked a recent photo I snapped when visiting one of my favorite private islands in the world, Jumby Bay, in the West Indies.
This photo is of the dock you are brought to when you first arrive at Jumby Bay by private boat and a boat is the only way you can get to this exclusive private island off of Antigua. I took this photo quickly, handheld as I was walking to breakfast because the water was such a gorgeous shade of turquoise blue. I think the dock is beautiful in its simplicity and when you have stunning scenery like this what else do you need!
Jumby Bay’s main resort of a few dozen suites has been closed for the last year and a half for a multi-million dollar renovation, but now this 300 acre private island is getting ready to unveil all that’s new and fabulous this November. From the sneak peek I got in April the new Jumby Bay is going to be spectacular. I’ll be headed back soon for another update so stay tuned!
