I’m spoiled. I admit it freely. I’m blessed to travel all over the world to top destinations, resorts, spas and restaurants that embrace the spirit of Travel Therapy for my Travel Therapy TV segments on WPIX-TV, the CW Network flagship in NYC and the exciting new national entertainment, celebrity and lifestyle show OK! TV.
It’s no secret I believe to have a truly amazing Travel Therapy adventure you need a special culinary experience so I’m always on the lookout for top foodie finds that inspire and tell a story that I want to hear and share. In New York City you have the best of the best when it comes to restaurants, chefs and cuisine, so competition here beyond fierce, but tonight I found a true winner…a new kid on the block that’s already a standout…David Burke’s new New York City restaurant Fabrick at the brand new Archer Hotel.
Sleek, sexy and above all savory, Fabrick takes your dining experience to a whole new level. Where Executive Chef Adin, who goes out of his way to make you meal magnificent, says they have “rustic American dishes” I say they have American classic comfort food elevated to the jaw-dropping height of the Empire State Building, that you have a phenomenal view of from the rooftop deck of the Archer Hotel. In NYC roof top decks are a premium and I have to say this one has one of the best views and vibes I’ve experienced in Manhattan.
Here are some foodie favorites I was able to sample tonight for the restaurant opening…in a word…WOW! I was planning to come back for a sit down meal but now I worry about what I would pick. There are so many creative, fresh and fun dishes it’s going to be VERY hard to pick just one…or two…or three…
And how about this for an endorsement. A friend of mine, who is very picky about calories, literally inhaled TWO of the Berkin Bag dessert at David Burke’s Fabrick, before I could even take a photo of one. The silly grin on her face said it all. #Worthit.
Signature cocktails at Bugatti Bar, adjacent to Fabrick in the chic hotel lobby, were another huge hit. My pick, the Blonde Ambition…insert obvious jokes here, but seriously, this drink is refreshing and light but still packs a punch without all the sugar that usually comes in pretty cocktails.
And for my VERY discriminating friend, who is careful about every calorie, she inhaled two of David Burke’s Birkin Bag desserts before I could even take a photo of one. What that means…#Worthit.
So whether you come to for the fantastic food, sensational service, creative cocktails or a million dollar Empire State Building view, the key word here is come, you won’t be disappointed!
