The first time I discovered Eleuthera in the Bahamas on my way to Harbour Island for one of my Travel Therapy TV segments when I was hosting ABC’s national travel show I feel in the love with this naturally wild and wonderful unspoiled Bahamian island.
A 110 miles long, and just two miles wide Eleuthera is just 200 miles from Florida and has a population of around 11,000 people. There’s a rich history here as Eleuthera was originally settled by British Loyalists in the 1700s. Eleuthera has a unique and picturesque landscape of pink sand beaches, lush tropical forests, pristine coral reefs, jagged cliffs, and miles and miles of pineapple fields.
Eleuthera and Harbour Island are some of my favorite island in the Bahamas because this is where you can go to truly disconnect from all the stress of the world and reboot and reenergize because that’s what Travel Therapy is all about.
For this latest trip to Eleuthera I couldn’t wait to start exploring some of the best beaches in the Bahamas again and my favorite places like the Sapphire Blue Hole, the Queens Bathtub, Preacher’s Cave, The Glass Window Bridge, Tay Bay Beach, to name just a few.
Eleuthera has it all from breathtaking beaches, crystal clear turquoise water, friendly people, great food, and unique travel experiences.
No matter how long I spend on Eleuthera I always leave wishing I had more time. So to help you make the most of your trip to Eleuthera I put together my top 10 things to do on Eleuthera, in the Bahamas.
One of the coolest parts about this Travel Therapy list of the best things to do on Eleuthera is that every experience is free!
